Extrusion

• McKechnie have been involved in the extrusion of thermoplastics for over 30 years and are now the largest manufacturer of small bore tubing in the UK, producing some 90,000km, enough to go round the world twice, per annum.
• As the UK’s largest producer of diptubes for aerosols, pumps and dispensers, specially formulated material blends are used to meet demanding tensile strength and chemical resistance.
• Tightly toleranced small or microbore tubing down to 0.35mm is manufactured for precision applications including medical and fibre optics.
• The most recent development is multi-layer technology, which allows for the provision of tailor made solutions of up to 5 layers.
